Nathalie Emmanuel
Nathalie Emmanuel was a British actress who was best known for playing Missandei on HBO's fantasy epic "Game of Thrones" (HBO 2011, 2011-19). Born and raised in Southend-on-the-Sea which is a resort on the sea town located in Essex, Emmanuel was drawn by acting at a young age. Nathalie's mother took note and her parents began enrolling her in dance, sing and acting lessons when she was just 3 years old. Emmanuel gained speed as a actor, and by the late 90s she was playing the role of young Nala in The West End stage productions of the critically acclaimed show "The the Lion King." Emmanuel had auditioned for roles in TV and film when she was just a teenager. Her first major breakthrough in 2007, when she became Sasha Valentine on the British soap-opera "Hollyoaks" (Channel 4 between 1995 and ). Emmanuel took on the role for four years until going off the show in. Emmanuel got her first breakthrough on HBO "Game of Thrones" 3 years later in the role of Missandei. This role is the interpreter of Daenerys the Targaryen role (portrayed by Emilia Clarke). Emmanuel went on to play the role for each successive season of "Game of Thrones," right up until the final episode which aired in May of 2019.
